Sean Petrie

Sean Petrie is an award-winning poet, author, and professor.

Sean has an MFA in Writing for Kids from Vermont College, a law degree from Stanford, and a Plan II degree from the University of Texas (where he co-founded the Camp Texas program). He teaches creative writing workshops and is a writing professor at the University of Texas.

Chris Barton is the author of fiction and nonfiction picture books that have been celebrated on more than two dozen U.S. state lists and received national honors. Chris and wife Jennifer Ziegler, author of Worser, live in Austin and co-host the children’s literature video series “This One’s Dedicated to…”

We will use Beanstack to find out the longest books we have read, our longest reading streaks, the most pages weʻve read in one session, and the longest reading session. We will also recognize your other accomplishments in the Summer Reading Challenge and discuss our favorite books!
